It was mid of 2017 when five enthusiastic men with nationalistic mindset decided to embark upon a uncharted journey. Their motivation was to build a change in society by extending their helping hands to the downtrodden section & thereby improving their lively hood.
They had surveyed their own neighbourhood & Put best effort of by providing educational , healthcare , rationing, legal help to the most needy & unaffording section of society . The premise for this selfless endeavour came from Swami Vivekanada’s literature works as Swamiji in his KARMAYOGA quotes “ Let men have light, let them be pure and spiritually strong and educated, then alone will misery cease in the world, not before." Thus gradually these isolated social works got consolidated under an organisational structure in the name of “KARMAYOGI.”
On 5th February 2019 "KARMAYOGI" had been registered as Charitable Trust under Indian Trust Act 1882. vide deed no. IV/1903/00856/2019. Later, on 9th December, 2020 it got affiliation of Rashtriya Seva Bharati and thenceforth KARMAYOGI has been functioning as a part of this vast organisation which runs more than 2,00,000 projects in different part of this country.
Though initially confined to only North 24 PGS , the dedicated team comprising of 300 members rendered their service in remote villages of other Districts specially South 24 Parganas, Burdwan, Hooghly, Birbhum & Bankura.
